| The teams listed below work together to prayerfully lead the people on Sunday in the joy of singing to and honoring our Father in heaven as one body and voice. Each team is set up on a rotation basis so that no one has to burn out in serving and yet we do ask for dedication and commitments as we serve as unto the Lord and not for man! We look forward to seeing you in one of our teams leading the way for this community in worshipping and honoring God with our whole lives! Bands and Vocalists The worship band and vocal team serve as prompters to the people in the audience. Their role is to get out of the way and prompt those who come to express love and devotion and song unto their great God and Savior Jesus Christ. If you are interested in playing an instrument or using your voice in this way at SBC please feel free to contact Matt or Jason and we will be glad to get to know you and see how God would have you serve with us! (rehearsal times vary so be sure to contact us if you wish to sit in on a practice) Choir The worshipping choir is a vital and powerful piece of the team here at SBC! Just as David and Solomon formed skilled vocalists into groups for the purpose of praising God in the temple and leading the people into battle, we as His church, the bride of Christ, depend on a throng of singers who will lead the way in modeling authentic worship of our God. Please feel free to join us for a rehearsal Wednesdays from 6 to 7 or contact us if you have questions. Technical/Graphic Arts Team This team is one of the most visible since they maintain all that is heard and seen on Sunday morning, yet their desire is to be as INvisible as possible…as Jim would say, “If we’re not noticed then we’ve done our job.” This team of servants is key to the effectiveness of every aspect of worship from the songs to the readings to the preaching of God’s Word! So, we need people of all levels to join this team and assist with sound, lights and projection.
